Pioneering the Science of Human Energy Measurement
Three Decades of Discovery
In 1995, Professor Konstantin Korotkov built the first Gas Discharge Visualization device by hand in Saint Petersburg. That single prototype launched a new field of biophysics — and eventually became Bio-Well. Today, his technology is used by researchers, practitioners, and institutions across more than 70 countries, backed by peer-reviewed science and over 30 defended doctoral dissertations.
Konstantin Korotkov, PhD
Professor of Computer Science and Biophysics at ITMO University (Saint Petersburg) and Senior Researcher at the Saint Petersburg Research Institute of Physical Culture and Sport. President of the International Union of Medical and Applied Bioelectrography (IUMAB) and Director of Bio-Well Companies. He holds 17 patents in biophysics and has authored several books, including Light After Life (1998), Human Energy Field Study with GDV Bioelectrography (2002), and The Energy of Consciousness (2012). He developed the Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV) technique — based on the Kirlian effect — which forms the foundation of the Bio-Well camera for real-time visualization of the human energy field.
The Science of What You Can't See
Bio-Well captures the ultra-weak photon emissions from your fingertips in a 60-second scan, then maps them to organs and systems using principles rooted in traditional Chinese meridian theory and modern biophysics. The result is a real-time snapshot of your energy field — measurable, repeatable, and backed by three decades of peer-reviewed research from institutions across four continents.
Every Bio-Well device traces back to a single principle — if you can measure it, you can understand it. Professor Korotkov's career has been defined by turning that principle into published, peer-reviewed, reproducible science. Here is what three decades of that work looks like.
Built on Science. Designed for Discovery.
Research You Can Measure

17 Patents in Biophysics
17 Patents in Biophysics
From the original GDV optical system to the Bio-Cor EHF therapy device and the Sputnik environmental sensor, each patent represents a specific problem solved — how to capture photon emissions reliably, how to calibrate across devices, how to extend measurement from fingertips to water, materials, and space.
400+ Peer-Reviewed Studies
400+ Peer-Reviewed Studies
Published across journals in medicine, psychology, sports science, and physics, these studies document real outcomes from real institutions. Research has been conducted at universities and medical centers in Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Georgia, Kazakhstan, France, and Brazil, among others.
30+ Doctoral Dissertations
30+ Doctoral Dissertations
More than thirty PhD candidates have built their doctoral research on GDV and Bio-Well methodology — defending their work in medicine, psychology, and technical sciences. Each dissertation required independent review, original data, and institutional approval. That is not marketing. That is academic accountability.
